On June 5, the entire Lower School gathered together for the final time this year at the 5th Grade Moving Up Ceremony for the Class of 2031. Together with the students’ families and friends, we celebrated the Class of Red with traditional Lower School songs like “We’re on Our Way” and “School’s Out.” Each fifth grader shared a personal reflection or piece of advice about Lower School, and the entire class performed their class song, “Firework.” The Blue/Gray Cup was awarded to the Gray team, and the Baiba Vasys Core Values Award was presented to Mae Racowski ’31. In addition to being a great friend and a model citizen, Mae is an engaged and respectful learner who always participates in lessons with enthusiasm and curiosity. She is a leader who is not exclusive in her friendships; she makes space for everyone and brings good energy and school spirit into each day.
